About the event

Women’s rights are on the line. We are at a crossroads of democracy vs dictatorship. We are all  needed more than ever to stand up and show up to the polls to vote for equality, people and the planet. Gender equality touches everyone through the intersection of racial, climate, reproductive and economic justice. Our rights and the rights of nature are being threatened. As we approach the 101st anniversary of the Equal Rights Amendment’s introduction into Congress – which has still not been published –  we say, Not One MoreYear.

This fall, artist and convener Tiffany Shlain will be in NYC for her solo exhibition You Are Here, which focuses on gender and environmental equality,  Sept 5 - Oct 19. During that same time, on September 21, 2024 hundreds of leaders of the gender equality and climate justice movements will be in New York to kick off Climate Week. We want to bring all of this energy together with one powerful event in NYC that will connect, inspire, amplify and mobilize people for the election.

The event will build off the success of having the exhibition’s centerpiece Dendrofemonology: A Feminist History sculpture installed on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. last fall. Like that event, the New York gathering will take place in a public location and include a parade and convening of women leaders. To inspire voter turnout, it will take place right before the election.
